Ava is a climber and this time she climbed right into trouble. She was on the counter and was making her way across our flat top stove which had just been on high minutes before. She stepped with her right foot right on to the hot surface. She started to scream and I put her foot under running cold water. For 3 hours she cried, she couldn't stand to have her foot out of water. We weren't sure how bad it was burned so Marco took her to the emergency room around midnight. It ended up being a 2nd degree burn on her foot and toes. Poor baby. Burns are so painful and it was sad to see her in pain and not being able to walk. She crawled and quickly learned how to do everything she was doing before without using her foot (except walk on the stove).

Beginning to blister.

We made her a play area to crawl around in. She was so brave at the Dr. appointments, even when they cut the blister and washed her foot.

Sorry so gross.

She may be a little high from the pain medicine in this picture. She was sitting like this for a few minutes without moving.
